Challenge: Active, Intentional Effort To Win Souls! |
|---|
| Ezekiel 3:18 "When I say to the wicked, 'You shall surely die,' and you give him no warning, nor speak to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life, that same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood I will require at your hand (NKJV). You have but one life and it will soon pass! Do you whole-heartedly pray for the lost? Do you intentionally try to win souls? |

Reason For An Earthly Life Is Missions
Photo: Plymouth Brethren in a previously unreached tribe The purpose of God for the church and individual believers is to glorify Him. Since this can be done also in heaven, the only reason for Jesus Christ delaying His coming and allowing the church to be on earth is to do world evangelization through them. Mark 16:15 "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature." (NET). Romans 10:14 "How are they to believe in one they have not heard of?" (NET) Local churches and individual believers can succeed in life and in front of God only if they fulfill their non-negotiable biblical responsibilities towards world evangelism. BrethrenPortal website equips you to participate in missions by actively using your spiritual gifts wherever you are, even if you are not a missionary. We call this a missionary lifestyle where spirituality is a way of life and the most important thing in life. |
Planting New Testament Model Churches In All NationsStatistics: 31,954 churches in 140 of 234 nations. 94 nations unreached. Churches in the Bible were strictly modeled around the patterns of faith and practices in the New Testament. Believers did not use human wisdom or tradition to alter this pattern. Any variations from this pattern were corrected by the Apostles. The purpose of missions is to glorify God by planting churches modeled according to the Bible even in nations that are already evangelized. Local churches that adhere to the New Testament Pattern are called by others as Plymouth Brethren, Christian Brethren, or Brethren Assemblies. These local churches are not knit together by any organizational setup and are not a denomination. Any local church can be a New Testament model church without necessarily being called by one of these names or recognized by a human authority or organization. |

Evangelism By Each Believer And Local Church
Reference: Status of World Evangelization - Joshua Project In the New Testament, missions and evangelism was carried out by local churches and individual believers by exercising their Spiritual Gifts. They did not delegate this task to a few evangelists, missionary organizations, or funds. Jesus Christ calls all believers to be witnesses (Acts 1:8). 75-90% of people surveyed were saved through a friend or relative (www.bible.org). The responsibility to reach the lost next door cannot be shrugged off by paying someone to do it on your behalf. Gospel to all nations is not an option to consider but a mandate, you do not have to figure out if it is God's will for you and your church. |

Photo: Map of the world showing different nations Geo Profiles presents the unique needs, challenges, and opportunities of continents, geographical regions, and countries in relation to the planting of new Testament Model Churches. This will help prospective missionary candidates and local churches to take informed decisions. It will also help the evangelists and churches to focus on the right things. Those supporting the needy from different parts of the world can give the right kind of help to those that most need them. Matthew 9:36 "When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them..." (NET) |

So That We May Have A Golden Era TomorrowThere was a generation where the parents and the children put spirituality as the highest priority and pride in their lives. Christ-likeness and spiritual accomplishments were the measure of a life well lived. Come the new generation whose standards of life and lifestyle are no different from the world. They put every effort to learn medicine, business, nursing, accounting and little effort to learn about God, theology or missions. It is high time time parents and youth, like Paul, count all the worldly profits as filth, and glory only in the cross of Jesus Christ. More than trying to become professionals who are the pride of the nation, we need heroes of faith who will count the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures of Egypt. Youth struggle in their body and mind, and in the attractions of the world. Many Churches or elders do not provide any guidance in these things, and themselves show no outward signs of similar struggle and paint an unrealistic picture that adds to the confusion of the youth. Some youths marry unbelievers in their lust and claim that it has to be encouraged because they are bringing some to 'salvation'. They need right help. Some of the older generation lives as if Christianity and the Bible is not relevant except on Sunday. They are losing the younger generation to Churches that are theaters of singing and dancing. The youth has to be shown that Bible, Christianity, and New Testament Pattern of Church life are relevant to them even in their generation. It is in fact, the best course they can take! |
Extend The Burden For Souls To Your Own Family! Is our life and ministry filled with neglect for our own family betraying our hypocrisy? Are we trying to solve problems for everyone where our own home is like a mine-field? Examples are numerous: The home that is filled with worldly entertainment and having the family alter only for name sake. The family who enjoys porn. The youth leader who has a burden for perishing souls but whose children come to Sunday School without doing homework. The itinerant preacher whose wife is neglected. The Bible teacher who does not teach his own wife and children. The elder who needs salvation from the hell at home. The husband who expects his wife to be a mere cook, cleaner, launderer, and slave. The wife who can put up only with a husband who is as perfect as Jesus Christ. The father who has all time for business, no time for Church meetings, and who testifies that he leads an intimate life with the Lord and God has blessed him. The parents who showered everything on the children and let them loose only to soon weep that they are no longer in control. Children who are pampered to an extent that the slightest disappointment leads to suicide. The brother who hires killers to marry another woman. The couple who divorces because the romance no longer exists. Does the Bible have a solution? |
